Nederlands: Foto uit de collectie van Museum Rotterdam van een duivenpoot met ring uit 1942. Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog moesten alle postduiven worden afgemaakt op Duits bevel, er werd zelfs een Duivenbrigade aangesteld in Amsterdam. Toen massaal protest klonk werd de maatregel ingetrokken. In 1942 werd opnieuw aangekondigd dat alle postduiven gedood moesten worden, wie weigerde werd veroordeeld tot drie maanden dwangarbeid. Als bewijs van het doden moesten de pootjes worden opgestuurd. |
