Dwarf Coconut Tree anatomy

Summary edit

Description
English: Coconut trees are members of the palm tree or Arecaceae family. Ironically, aside from its name "coconut", this tree does not bear "nuts". In fact, its fruits are actually called Drupes.

Dwarf coconut trees are unique in that a fully grown adult tree can be as short as only 7 feet tall and remain close to this size for their whole life and still bear just as much if not more fruit than the average size coconut tree (which can range anywhere from 30-100+ feet tall).

The average dwarf coconut tree can grow to about 20 feet tall, with its fronds (leaves) accounting for more than half of its height. The stem itself is relatively short and fruits can be reached with a small ladder if needed. Due to their small nature, they make easily accessible and manageable fruit bearing trees.
