Summary edit

Description
English: Dykes End, Flamborough, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
Short but popular stretch of beach at the southern end of Danes' Dyke near Flamborough. Danes' Dyke is a huge man-made earth rampart and trench running north-south across the peninsula which once separated Flamborough Head from the mainland. It is now thought to be of bronze age origin and nothing at all to do with the Danes. The dyke is a boon to holidaymakers as it allows fairly easy access down the steep cliffs to the sea.
