Description
English: The entrance to the parking area along Eastbound New York State Route 27 (Sunrise Highway), in the former community known as Canoe Place in Hampton Bays, New York. This is just before the road crosses the bridge over Newtown Road (Suffolk CR 62), and then the Shinnecock Canal. It was built at a time when NYSDOT cares enough to make driving to the Hamptons enjoyable instead of the grueling task that it is east of Shinnecock Hills.
