Computer - EDB anlegg hos Skattedirektøren.

I 1962 investerte IBM ufattelige 5 milliarder dollar for å utvikle en ny type datamaskin som skulle ta luven fra alle andre maskiner på markedet. Den 7. April 1964 ble ”IBM 360” presentert. Den hadde et hovedminne (RAM) på 8 til 64 Kb, og kunne utføre 34 500 ”instruksjoner” per sekund.

"IBM 360" revolusjonerte dataindustrien og ble en stor salgssuksess for selskapet. "360" var den første maskinen som hadde et enhetlig system av maskin- og programvare som var tilpasningsdyktig til flere formål. "360" kunne dessuten oppgraderes uten at maskinvaren måtte gjenoppbygges.
