An Election Systems & Software model 150 ballot scanner

Summary

edit
Description
English: An ES&S model 150 ballot scanner. This relatively low-speed low-cost scanner was widely used in the 1980s for absentee ballots and centralized counting of ballots transported from polling places. It sits on a cart holding a printer for results reporting and various supplies. This image was scanned from a 3 by 5 snapshot. Multiple scans were superimposed to help reduce the impact of artifacts caused by the scanning process before editing to remove a very cluttered background.
