Summary edit
DescriptionEWS Railway depot- E3 two signs. (3439185101).jpg |
EWS - English Welsh & Scottish Railways - was acquired by Deutsche Bahn on 28 June 2007, and on 1 Jan 2009 it was decided to rebrand the company DB Schenker Rail (UK) Ltd. This depot is not in the olympic park, but a new one is, the Bow East Logistics Centre. But what on earth is CAMAS? I have no idea at all. *BUT SEE DISCUSSION BELOW* There is a CAMAS Prairie Railway , later Camas Prairie RailNet and now Great Northwest Railroad in northern Idaho, USA. EWS was originally owned by Wisconsin Central, a US company following the break up of British Rail in 1996. That is all. In the background the water tower of the former Bryant & May match factory which no doubt now also contains the best apartments in the Bow Quarter. Subsequently the Bow west vehicle screening area for the 2012 Olympic games. |
