Summary edit

Description
English: Earth was initially made up of a uniform, molten mixture of many different elements and compounds. Before it cooled, Differentiation occurred: the denser materials sunk down to the center of the Earth, while the lighter materials ‘floated’ to the surface. Because of this differentiation, the Earth’s core is made up of incredibly dense materials like iron and nickel, while the surface is made up of lower density materials.
