Summary edit

Description
English: Despite the limited number railroad crossings in New York City, there are actually instances where crossbucks are needed. It just so happens that one is along the east side of the Nereid Avenue, Wakefield-241st, and Dyre Avenue bound local platform of the East 180th Street elevated railway station on the IRT White Plains Road Line in the West Farms section of the Bronx, New York City. The crossing is for a maintenance road and parking space between the tracks and the former East 180th Street New York, Westchester and Boston Railway station, which is part of the Unionport Yard. The East 180th Street Shops is on the opposite side of the tracks.
