English: East Croydon Railway Station View from the bridge, just to the south of the station. The station is not on fire; "Princess Elizabeth" is just leaving platform 5, with a steam excursion! Note the tram, at the East Croydon stop.
East Croydon is the busiest of Croydon's stations, with in excess of 23 million passengers per year. Additional capacity is required, to reduce congestion, and re-development is being considered. Of the remaining stations in Croydon, the next busiest has just under 3 million passengers per year. |
