English: East Midlands Trains at St Pancras Since the old St Pancras station was converted into the new Eurostar terminus, domestic trains operated by Midland Mainline (since 2008, East Midlands Trains) have used these new platforms to the north-west of the old terminus. Both an older "HST" (High Speed Train) and a newer "Meridian" class 222 diesel unit are seen here, with (at left) a class 319 "Thameslink" electric unit departing for Bedford. No ticket barriers were present at this time, though a couple of staff were checking tickets. Barriers were installed in August 2009. |
