Description A close-up of the main east fixed span of the Morrison Bridge, a 1958 bascule bridge across the Willamette River, in Portland, Oregon. This view is from from the Eastbank Esplanade, looking north-northwest. In the background, the 1947 steam tug Portland, a sternwheeler, is docked at the seawall, in Waterfront Park. The bridge tower at left is the Morrison Bridge's east tower, which is empty and unused.
