| Description | View of the buildings on the east side of Main Street between Eagle Street and Lafayette Square in downtown Buffalo, New York. Serving as clues to the approximate date of the photograph are the signs for the businesses in the buildings: 1872, '73 and '74 are the only years in which Weller, Brown & Mesmer, McArthur's Confectionery, J. F. Crossland Wholesale Millinery, and S. Levyn were all in business simultaneously on this block. This is now the site of the Brisbane Building and the former AM&A's flagship store. |
