Title |
English: Ed C. Sturdivant CINC SCV to William Beard Judge Advocate-in-Chief SCV March 2, 1964 |
||||
Description |
English: White paper with typed black text Only out of respect for the President-General and devotion to the duties of my office have I agreed to attend the meeting in Richmond on March 22. If, by that date, all problems of sabotage have not been resolved, I regard it as our duty to withdraw all support of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and to so advise all state officials concerned. If anothern [sic] inglorious “Stone Mountain” is all we can hope for, let us recognize it now! I shall look forward to good fellowship with you and with out friends and Compatriots at the meeting of the Council. Yours in the bonds of integrity and devotion to duty, Ed. C. Sturdivant Commander-in-Chief Sons of Confederate Veterans
