Description
English: Edinburgh from Torphichen Hill. Torphichen Hill is a top in the eastern Moorfoots, the ground falls away suddenly here to reveal long views northward over lower land. This is due to the Southern Upland Boundary fault. The feature is very clear in this area, separating the coal measures of Midlothian from the older shales that make up the hills.
