Summary edit

Description
English: (text continues from fig. 431). The free ends (Fig. 432) of the platinum wires are connected with the copper sockets D and E, which are insulated from each other by plaster of Paris, F and C are copper pieces which are separated by the disc L, consisting of insulating material. M is a wooden ring serving to insulate the different metal plates from each other. By screwing in a lamp contact is made between E and F, and between the plates C and D at the same time. By means of the plates B J and A K, which touch each other, contact is made within the wooden ring. This ring consists of two portions covered with sheet brass. The first portion of the wooden ring is connected with the wires leading from C and F. Wires from the circuit are pressed by means of screws against the plates A and K.
