Editorial Framing of The Lord of the Rings

Summary

edit
Description
English: Editorial framing of The Lord of the Rings has proceeded from Tolkien's fictional editor who supposedly translated The Red Book of Westmarch, to his son Christopher who genuinely edited the many draft manuscripts for the book, to Peter Jackson's films which radically revised the story and its focus, and on to a mass of materials by many hands in a wide variety of media.
