"THE / FOURTH PART / OF THE / INSTITUTES / of the Laws of England: / CONCERNING / THE JURISDICTION / Of Courts.
"PROVERBS 22.28 / Ne tranſgrediaris antiquos ter- / minos quos poſuerunt patres tui. [Proverbs 22:28: Do not pass the ancient boundaries which your fathers have set.]
"Terminos propriæ poteſtatis egreſ- / ſus in aliam meſſem perperam mittit / falcem ſuam. [He who wanders outside the boundaries of his own ability wrongly puts his sickle into another's harvest.]
