Description
English: Edward VIII coronation commemorative saucer. Edward VIII abdicated on 12 December 1936 and his brother was crowned king on 12 May 1937. A consderable amount of commemorative porcelain that had been manufactured in anticipation of Edward VIII's coronation was destroyed.
The text on the reverse of the saucer reads "By appointment/A perpetual Souvenier/in Paragon China/To commemorate teh coronation of /H.M. King Edward VIII/Crowned Westminster Abbey/May-12-1937/Registerd & Copyright/Made in England"
