Summary
editDescriptionEffects of female gender on the log of the probability of selection as member of AAAS and NAS.jpg |
English: "Estimated female effects in the pooled model for selection to [American Association for the Advancement of Science] and [United States National Academy of Sciences]. Notes. In this figure, we plot the estimated female gender coefficients from logistic regression models for the probability of being selected as a new member of the NAS or AAAS from a pooled sample, conditional on cumulative numbers of publications in top journals in the field of interest, and cumulative citations to those publications. Since the probabilities of selection as a new member are very low, these coefficients can be interpreted as effects of female gender on the log of the probability of selection. The error bars indicate the 95% CI. Regression results are presented in SI Appendix, Table S8."
