Description
Français : Saint Léger, patron de la paroisse, fut évêque d’Autun. Fait prisonnier par Esbröm, maire du palais de Neustrie (l’un des royaumes francs), lors du siège de la ville en 670, il fut torturé et décapité dans une forêt proche d’Arras. L’église qui lui fut ici dédiée, fut construite avant 720. Incendiée lors des invasions normandes, elle fut pour moitié reconstruite au 9ème ou 10ème siècle. L’inscription que l’on peut voir au dessus de la porte (1780) est celle de travaux de consolidation du bâtiment.
