English: Eglwys Gatholig Mair Seren y Mor a Santes Gwenfrewi/ Catholic Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea and St Winefride This church in Porthllechog Road, built of reinforced concrete in the 1930s, to the design of an Italian architect, takes the shape of an upturned boat. The side windows arch the roof, providing an abundance of light within the church. The window above the main door is star shaped and there are 5 smaller star shaped windows above the altar. The crypt was designed to provide a large parish hall. The parish priest, an Irish OMI, also serves Cemaes and Benllech. |
