Cymraeg: Codwyd yr eglwys bresennol, Eglwys Sant Ioan, yn 1861 ar safle'r hen eglwys. Ynddi cedwir tair cofeb o'r hen eglwys, o Rys Fawr ap Maredudd o Fryn Gwyn, a ddygodd faner Harri Tudur ar Faes Bosworth, ei wraig Lowri, a'u trydydd fab Robert, a fu'n gaplan i'r Cardinal Thomas Wolsey. Ym mynwent yr eglwys mae bedd Sion Dafydd Berson neu Sion Dafydd Glocsiwr oedd yn berson yn hen gapel yr Owen ym Mhentrefoelas.
English: The Church of St John is built on the site of the old hospital built by of the Knights of St John, the Order of Hospitallers, and it contains a number of remnants that tell of the area’s history. Effigies in the church are said to depict Rhys Fawr ap Maredudd (fl. 1485-1510), a local nobleman who served Henry VII at the Battle of Bosworth, his wife Lowri, and his son Robert, chaplain to Cardinal Wolsey.
