This photo taken on Mohamed Mahmoud Street in Downtown Cairo on 4th February 2012. Protesters were demonstrating near Egypt's Ministry of Interior over the death of at least 79 football fans, most of them Al Ahly supporters at a match in Port Said on 1st February. There was a widespread perception of the involvement of some elements in the police and security forces in their deaths. Al Ahly Ultras had been one of the most organized and effective youth groups involved in the protests in 2011 which led to the overthrow of Mubarak. "Will try to write descriptions for this and adjacent photos in the next few days." - that's what I wrote in the space on the evening of 4th February but the next day I was arrested. I've written a brief account of my arrest and imprisonment beneath the very last photograph in the Egyptian revolution set. I am researching a book on the revolution in Egypt and would like to hear from anyone who has taken part in protests or whose life has been effected or who simply has a viewpoint. Did the revolution succeed ? Is Egypt now or will it soon be a better place to live as a result ?
