Notes

The discussed disease is here named as 'Pestilentz Drüsen', a type of plague, perhaps bubonic plague. Besides giving precise instruction on blood-letting, the text gives also advice on the care of the patient, on the right food and drink, the cleansing of the home, medication, and prophylaxis.
