Description
The experts at Bruun Rasmussen wrote that Peterssen probably made this painting while in Italy between 1879 and 1883. They pointed out that his colleague Peder Severin Krøyer spent time with him in Italy and that Krøyer made a drawing in 1881 of a man who looked exactly like the hunter in the painting.
