Fabriquemos un tetraedro regular plano que posea una cara imaginaria como base piramidal. Las aristas de este tetraedro regular miden 3 Cm. Luego preparamos tres polígonos irregulares en forma de triángulos isósceles, donde dos catetos midan 3 Cm. Inmediatamente procedemos a unir las tres caras triangulares isósceles, a las tres aristas que se unen en el vértice intermedio, que está en posición opuesto, a la cara triangular imaginaria del tetraedro regular. Al terminar este procedimiento tenemos como resultado, el tetraedro Leonardiano especial. El dodecaedro Leonardiano especial está compuesto por un dodecaedro estrellado Davinciano, al que se le unen de forma externa 60 tetraedros Leonardiano especiales. El dodecaedro Leonardiano especial posee cuatro variedades de vértices, los cuales son: 20 vértices intermedios, 12 vértices exteriores, 60 vértices ultra exteriores y 180 vértices interiores para un total de 272 vértices. Posee 540 caras triangulares interiores. Tiene 30 aristas intermedias, 60 aristas exteriores, 180 aristas ultra exteriores y 540 aristas interiores para un total de 810 aristas. Si aplicamos la fórmula de Euler (V + C – A = 2, entonces 272+540 -810 = 2), comprobaremos que la fórmula se cumple perfectamente. Además este poliedro pertenece al conjunto los poliedros que poseen caras triangulares, ocupando la posición # 269 (L=269, A=3L+3, V=L+3 y C=2L+2), de acuerdo a las sucesiones poliédricas triangulares del Dominicano Jose Joel Leonardo. Utilizando técnica de truncado, con el conjunto de los vértices intermedios del dodecaedro Leonardiano especial se define perfectamente un dodecaedro regular convexo. Utilizando técnica de truncado, con el conjunto de los vértices exteriores del dodecaedro Leonardiano especial se define perfectamente un icosaedro regular convexo. |
