Date copia de 1926 de un original del siglo XVII
Source El Prado de San Jerónimo (1926), cuadro perteneciente al Museo de Historia de Madrid (España). Se trata de una copia de una pintura anónima de la Escuela Madrileña, fechada entre 1686-1700. El original pertenecía al Marqués de Castel-Rodrigo y se conservaba en Mombello (Italia), hasta su adquisición para la Colección Abelló (España). Pueden verse los paseos del Prado y Recoletos (cruzados por el Arroyo del Abroñigal), la calle de Alcalá y el Real Sitio del Buen Retiro, con su extenso palacio levantado junto al Monasterio de los Jerónimos. Además de este palacio, otras construcciones desaparecidas visibles en la pintura son el Convento de los Agustinos Recoletos y la primitiva Puerta de Alcalá. Por el Paseo del Prado puede identificarse la comitiva que acompaña al rey Carlos II durante un paseo.
