English: Centuries old Elamkulam Mahadeva Temple was on the verge of being extinct due to the incapability of ...... Madhom withwhom the title of the temple once vested.

This temple with Sree Mahadeva (as Swayambhu moorthy) as presiding Deity and Sri. Ganesha, Nandikeshwar, Devi,Lord Ayyappa,Sri. Hanuman,Yekshi Amma, Nagaraja and Brahma Rakshas as sub Deities is situated just hundred metres south of Sreekaryam junction,10km north of Thiruvananthapuram,2kms from College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram (CET);and 3 km north of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.

The timely intervention of the local committed people brought back the temple to present state by establishing daily pooja and other religious orders. Since last 2 decades the temple committees had undertaken many renovations that warranted inorder to arrest the ageing state of the temple structure. Important among them being the repair and copper sheeting of the top of "Sanctum Sanctorum'. other renovations and reinstallations. Om Nama Shivaya.
