English: EL DORADO COUNTY RESOURCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE OUTREACH EXTENDED - Eldorado National Forest (ENF) officials are extending recruitment efforts begun this spring to fill seats on a federal resource advisory committee (RAC) responsible for recommending selected projects on national forest land within El Dorado County. Applications will be accepted through July 21, 2017. Applicants must represent at least one of 15 interests within 3 categories legislated by the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act of 2000 (SRS). Seated committee members generally serve a term of 4 years and include people representing timber & non-timber product harvesting, energy & minerals, developed & dispersed recreation, Native Americans, local, regional & national environmental organizations, teachers, archaeological & historical, grazing & other special permits, watershed associations, wildlife or hunting organizations, and local officials among other interests.
