English: Giacomo Puccini: LA BOHEME "Sì. Mi chiamano Mimì" (Highlights)
Let us pause for a moment and enjoy one of the most beautiful falling in love scenes in opera history: "Sì. Mi chiamano Mimì" from Giacomo Puccini's LA BOHEME - here sung by Elena Guseva. Mimì knocks on the door of the poet Rodolfo - and what begins as a little neighbourly help ends in the first kiss. Puccini pours the cautious acquaintance and the tentative approach into two arias: After Rodolfo has introduced himself, the flower embroiderer Mimì describes her everyday life and reveals the often praised "poetry of small things".
