Description

Elizabeth I coat of arms, Gorey Castle. Placed above the Fourth Gate in 1593.
The shield, supported by the crowned lion of England and the dragon of Wales, is divided into quarters.
The three leopards of England are shown in the first and fourth quarters.
The second and third quarters show the fleur de lys of France.

Above is the motto "Dieu et mon droit" (God and my right).
