Interior view of the ballroom at the Elks Lodge #37. Wooden chairs line the walls of a large carpeted ballroom. The Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge #37 was established in Columbus on September 18, 1885. This building, former home of Isaac Eberly, was built in 1863. It was purchased by the Elks in 1900 and dedicated as the Elks Lodge on June 19, 1901. The building was demolished in 1927 after the Elks moved to a new location at 250 E. Broad Street. |
