DESCRIPTION Photograph of the interior of the Elliot Mansion, 305 Main Street, in Keene New Hampshire. Built in 1811 as a private home by Captain William Wyman, this house was given to the City of Keene in 1892 by John Henry Elliot to be used as a hospital. The 3 large barns were also built in 1811. The property was bought by James Bixby Elliot in 1845 and he lived there with his family for nearly half a century. It became the Elliot Community Hospital.
