Summary edit

Description
English: Elmside Farm, Nailstone On the busy A447, Bonnie Prince Charlie reputedly visited here in 1745 and decided to retreat north. The farm is named after the great Elm tree that was planted at the cross roads to commemorate the most southerly point of the Prince's progress to London. Sadly the tree was blown down by gales in 1962 and has been replaced by a Chestnut further up Main Street by the church.
