Opis vrste

D.t. 15-16,5cm. Rasprostranjena je u brdsko planinskim predelima južne i manjeg dela centralne Evrope, severozapadne Afrike, male Azije, Bliskog Istoka, Kavkaza i istočnog dela himalajskog platoa. U zimskom periodu, veliki deo ptica iz planinskih predela spušta se u ravničarske predele. Naseljava strma i otvorena brdska i planinska staništa sa kamenjarima, liticama, travama i retkim drvećem i žbunjem na različitim nadmorskim visinama. Gnezdo smešta na tlo, skriveno među kamenjem i vegetacijom. Hrani se pretežno semenjem različitih vrsta biljaka i beskičmenjacima. U Srbiji je redovna gnezdarica klisura i kamenjara u brdsko-planinskom delu zemlje. Gnezdeća populacija u Srbiji se procenjuje na 3.000 - 4.000 parova (Puzović et al 2009).
