Description
Català: Encontre del Natzaré amb la mare de Déu (detall), Francesc Ribalta, museu de Belles Arts de València. Aquest quadre està inspirat en el Natzaré ajudat pel Cirineu que Sebastiano del Piombo va pintar en 1521 i que l'ambaixador Jeroni Vich va portar a València. D'eixa pintura de Piombo Ribalta extreu les figures idealitzades de Crist, el Cirineu, el soldat que el segueix i el paisatge del fons. Però afegeix a l'esquerra uns alttes d'invenció pròpia de clau naturalista, encarnat la mare de Déu, les Maries i sant Joan en una combinació d'efecte versemblant, afavorida per les faccions realistes dels personatges i una il·luminació tenebrista de pronunciats contrastos.
