Summary edit

Description The northern most driveable extent of the Victoria Colonization Road in the Kawarthas. The road continues for a few kilometres north of Uphill to this point. Although it is clear that a road once continued into the forest here, the growth is thick. About 50 metres into the bush, it descends into a shallow swampy lake. Other than this pathway, the forest abuts this northern road with an impenetrable wall of growth; the nearest road north of this point is through 10 kilometres of foothills and muskeg.
