Bahasa Indonesia: Endam (55), mengumpulkan sampah di area tumpukan sampah Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) Burangkeng, Kabupaten Bekasi, Jawa Barat, Rabu (20/10/2021). Kondisi tempat pembuangan akhir saat ini sudah kelebihan kapasitas dan tidak bisa lagi menampung kelebihan volume sampah yang semakin penuh. Pengolahan sampah dengan metode buang dan tumpuk (open dumping) yang selama ini dipakai di tempat pembuangan akhir ini, banyak mendapat kritikan dari pegiat lingkungan, mengingat dampak kerusakan lingkungan serta membutuhkan lahan luas.
English: Endam, 55, collects garbage in the garbage heap area of the Burangkeng landfills, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. The current condition of the landfill is already overcapacity and can no longer accommodate the excess volume of waste which is getting full. Waste processing using the open dumping method which has been used in this landfills, received a lot of criticism from environmental activists, considering the impact of environmental damage and requiring a large area of land. |
