Description
English: Engine Company No. 9 (established in 1893) is a municipal firefighting company in the U Street Corridor of Washington, D.C. It is located at 1617 U Street, NW, across from the Old Engine Company No. 9 (listed on the National Register of Historic Places; now used as a condominium) at 1624 U Street, NW. In addition to Engine Company No. 9, the current building also houses Truck Company No. 9 and Ambulance No. 9.
