Description
In this image Enrique Simonet recreates with his unmistakable aesthetics a scene from his everyday life. Under the shade of a tree, he portrays his children Carmen and Bernardo, who are playing with each other, oblivious to their father's gaze. The scene is set in a leafy landscape near the Monastery of El Paular, where the artist taught at the painting school.
