English: The Ensign Ewart memorial stone, Edinburgh Castle. Ensign Charles Ewart (1769 – 23 May 1846) was a Scottish soldier of the Royal North British Dragoons, the Scot's Greys. He captured the regimental eagle of the 45 Régiment de Ligne at the Battle of Waterloo.
