Description
Suomi: Jonas Heiska on maalannut teoksensa Ensilumi ateljeensa pihapiiristä. Lumi on peittänyt maiseman valkeaan vaippaansa. Teoksen vasemman reunan koivussa roikkuu vielä muutama yksinäinen keltainen lehti, toisessa reunassa oleva pihlaja on jo pudottanut kaikki lehtensä. Rimoilla tuetuissa viinimarjapensaissa on vielä jäljellä ruskeat, kuivat lehdet. Lumi on peittänyt rakennusten edustoilla olevat pensaat. Taustalla näkyvällä pellolla näkyy vielä keltainen sänki lumen alta. Junarata erottuu järven edessä korkeammalla vallillaan. Taustalla tummana päilyvä Jyväsjärvi on vielä sulana. Järven takana näkyvät ruskeana vastarannan metsät ja taustalla siintää sinisinä kaukaiset kukkulat ja harjut. Kaiken yllä lepää harmaa taivas. Lapset ovat tulleet yhdessä leikkimään ja laskemaan mäkeä vastasataneessa lumessa. He ovat kaivaneet sukset ja pulkan talvivarastosta. Teoksen alaosassa seisoo katsojaan selin siniseen housuasuun puettu tyttö. Sinisen hatun alta pilkottavat pitkät, vaaleat letit. Liekö tyttö taiteilijan tytär Vappu? Tyttö odottaa laskuvuoroaan suksisauvat kädessä. Mäkeä nousee ylös poika kelkan kanssa. Vasemmalta viinimarjapensaiden takaa hiihtää toinen poika.
