Español: Una parte de la fachada de la Casa de las águilas, un edificio construido a lo largo del siglo XV ubicado junto al Templo Mayor de México-Tenochtitlan. La parte superior del edificio fue destruida durante la conquista de México por los españoles. La plataforma del edificio tiene forma de letra L, y dos escalinatas, incluyendo esta, conducían a la entrada del lugar. La Casa de las águilas habría sido usada por lo miembros de las órdenes de los Guerreros Águila y Jaguar para discutir sobre temas militares y realizar ceremonias religiosas privadas, incluyendo el ofrecimiento de sangre humana ante imágenes de Señor de la Muerte, Mictlantecuhtli. Los Guerreros Cuahchicqueh (rapados) también tenían acceso a este recinto.
English: A portion of the façade of the House of Eagles, an building constructed throughout the 15th century located next to the Templo Mayor (Great Temple) of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. The upper part of the building was destroyed during the Spanish conquest of Mexico. The building's base is L-shaped, and two staircases, including this one, led to the building's entrance. The House of Eagles would have been used by the members of the Eagle and Jaguar Warrior orders to discuss military matters and perform private religious ceremonies, including the offering of human blood before idols of the Lord of Death, Mictlantecuhtli. The Cuahchicqueh (shorn) Warriors also had access to the precinct.
