Català: El 29 de novembre de 2017 va tenir lloc l’Assemblea General ordinària de la Societat Catalana de Biologia (SCB), en què Montserrat Corominas i Guiu va ser escollida nova presidenta de la Societat en substitució de Josep Clotet, president de l’SCB des del 2014.
És professora de genètica a la Facultat de Biologia de la Universitat de Barcelona (UB) i membre de l’Institut de Biomedicina de la UB (IBUB) i de la ICREA Acadèmia (2015). Les seves investigacions s’han centrat en vies de senyalització i dinàmica de la cromatina en càncer i regeneració. Actualment lidera el grup de regulació de l’expressió gènica dins el grup de recerca en biologia i genòmica del desenvolupament. Corominas és doctora en ciències biològiques per la Universitat de Barcelona (UB) i ha realitzat estades postdoctorals al Centre Mèdic de la Universitat de Nova York i a l’Institut de Tecnologia de Massachusetts (MIT, Boston). |
