English: Entwistle Station Platform. The station has just undergone a £40,000 revamp which now sees extra services call at the station.
New plant containers and fencing have been installed at the station, as well as "art" discs suggesting walking routes and heritage attractions. There is also a community noticeboard and better signs. Entwistle doubled as Redfern station in a film adaptation of Jeffrey Archer's "First Among Equals". And in an episode of Peter Kay's comedy serial "Max and Paddy's Road To Nowhere", the remote location of Entwistle made it ideal for the fictitious Middlewood. 565209 568244 |
