Description
English: Erick Avila, guitarist, founding member, composer and music producer of the Chilean metal band Six Magics, with over 20 years of history and published worldwide.

He started his solo career in 2013 with his first album "Oblivion", instrumental metal.

In 2014, Avila decided to versify his musical repertoire by creating a fusion of Latin American Folklore and metal, covering emblematic Chilean folk songs and performing on stages throughout Chile.

During 2015, while he was on tour in Germany with his band Six Magics, he began the composition of his second solo album. Once again, diving into the union of Latin Folk and Metal, but this time making creations of his own.

His latest album, titled “Origen”, was released during the second semester of 2016 and contains 13 songs. “Origen” has been reviewed and given excellent comments from specialized media. The popular Chilean rock radio Futuro has also chosen it as “Album of the Year 2016” in the Instrumental category.

In 2017, Avila had a conference at Aalto University in Helsinki called "Rock and Latin American roots: multicultural influence and perspectives in music". He was invited to have the same conference at Turku Rock Academy.

Avila moved to Finland in 2018 and found a band bearing his own name with three Finnish musicians. The group is doing now something no one has ever done before – combining metal and the hot rhythms of Latin America such as the Chilean cueca, Brazilian bossanova and Cuban salsa.

He has documented this new musical beginning in Finland in a video blog and the result of this journey is the single "Songo"
