Français : Cette illustration est extraite d’un fascicule de 30 pages, mesurant 102×132 mm (en fait, 4 pouces par 5 pouces et 3/16), intitulé « Réarmés ». On peut le dater grâce à une déclaration attribuée au président Roosevelt au dos de la dernière page, datée 2 janvier 1944, qui dit : « J’envisage le jour, par bonheur proche aujourd’hui, où les Français à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur de la France se joindront à leur alliés américains et britanniques pour chasser l’oppresseur du sol français. » Une note précise que ce fascicule fut « Publié par l’office d’information de Guerre des Etats-Unis d’Amérique U S F 91 » (Office of War Information). Il fut probablement jeté sur la France occupée par un avion américain pendant la campagne de bombardement de la première moitié de 1944, sans doute dans la région de Rennes où son propriétaire le ramassa, et dans les archives duquel il fut retrouvé en 2019.
