Español: El escudo episcopal de S.E.R. Mons. Dr. Jorge Manuel López es un colorido partido. 1° de gules, una cruz latina de oro superada de una paloma en vuelo, de plata. 2° de oro, una llama de fuego, de gules. Jefe de plata y tres rosas heráldicas de gules.
Al timbre, galero arzobispal de sinople; cruz arzobispal de oro acolada al escudo. El lema episcopal es «Veritatis facientes in caritate». La frase pertenece a la Carta a los Efesios (4, 15): «Veritatem autem facientes in caritate crescamus in illum per omnia, qui est caput Christus»; en la traducción argentina de la Biblia, «Viviendo en la verdad y en el amor, crezcamos plenamente, unidos a Cristo. Él es la Cabeza». También puede interpretarse como «Realizando la verdad en el amor». En cuanto a las tres rosas del jefe, es razonable suponer que son una referencia al Santo Rosario (y el número tres aludiría entonces a los tres grupos de misterios), dado que la ciudad natal de Su Excelencia Reverendísima Mons. Dr. Jorge Manuel López, su primer destino sacerdotal y episcopal, y su sede arzobispal, corresponden a la ciudad de Rosario en la Provincia de Santa Fe, República Argentina. |
