Español: ESCUDO DE TINGAMBATO, DESCRIPCIÓN
El escudo está cuartelado en cruz, un cuartel por cada barrio y con una antorcha al centro representando la lucha desde hace más de 120 años. CUARTEL PRIMERO: en el mapa del estado de Michoacán, se encuentra la ubicación geográfica del municipio. CUARTEL SEGUNDO: la zona arqueológica de Tingambato, es la máxima expresión de la cultura de nuestros antepasados que se instalaran aproximadamente hacia el año 1300 d.c. cobijado por el cerro del cuimburin o comburinda. CUARTEL TERCERO: las imágenes de tres de nuestros ilustres personajes, Mtro. Salvador Prospero, Mtro. Eliseo Cortes y el Ing. David Aguilera, en el segundo plano la torre de la iglesia uno de nuestros monumentos municipales y una greca que representa el bordado de punto de cruz, muestra de nuestras artesanías. CUARTEL CUARTO: bajo el cielo azul del municipio, un pino, un geranio una chirimoya y un aguacate, muestra de la flora y los productos mas representativos del municipio. El escudo tiene bordura en oro, que representa la esperanza, amistad, servicio y respeto a demás de grandeza, verdad, luz, majestad y paz. El escudo está techado por un pergamino que representa a nuestros profesionistas e intelectuales, atrás un listón en semicírculo con la leyenda: MPIO. DE TINGAMBATO 1877; año de la elevación a municipio. Bajo el escudo está el pergamino o listón envuelto en las ramas de laurel y encino, en el cual se lee la divisa: DIGNIDAD, JUSTICIA Y PROGRESO. Síntesis de los ideales, logros y aspiraciones de Tingambato. Lo ornamenta en colores naturales una rama laurel y encino frutados -buena fama, fortaleza y victoria imperecedera-. |
